You can visit the “Malevizi Archaeological collection” where you can find part of the rare and unique exhibits of the ancient art of “Metaxan Collection”.

Ammoudara

There are several beaches along the coast of Ammoudara, located nearby Villa Metaxas. We personally can recommend the beach of Candia Maris in which we can organize a booking for you.

Arolithos

Very close to our villa there is the unique traditional private Cretan Village. The village evokes memories from the past from the way of living while revealing the simplicity and beauty of old times to younger generations.

Agia Pelagia

An interesting place, which is only 12 km from the villa, for families (and not only) is the seaside village of Agia Pelagia with its breathtaking gulfs. The village offers a variety of beaches, cafes, restaurants, bars and water sports along with facilities such as diving, snorkeling, jet-skis and many more.

Suggested Route:
A very interesting and pleasant route from our villa is the one that includes a visit to Skinakas Observatory, the ancient Zominthos, the village of Anogia, the cave of Ideon Antron (where according to Mythology Zeus was born) and the Sfentoni Cave at the quaint village of Zoniana.
